year continues to move at a rapid pace.
This spring she took on the role as Chair for Global Country
Talent Search, East Coast Division, an annual event that has had
such talents as Brett Kissel and Alee through their program. The
first annual talent search on the East Coast will take
place August 7th at 3pm at The Carlton in

Terri Clark is performing a 41-date solo acoustic tour and RyLee's official role is tour correspondent and moderator of the Q&A portion of each show.

Upon her return to Nashville, RyLee and her husband Clay will be stepping back into the studio to produce their good friend and member of the legendary Carter Family, Lorrie Carter Bennett. Lorrie is the daughter of Anita Carter and granddaughter of Maybelle Carter. RyLee and Lorrie became good friends five years ago after a friend of Lorrie's saw RyLee & Clay play out in Nashville. From there a wonderful friendship has blossomed.
"Someone pinch me, this has been an incredible year! What a way to cap off the end of 2016 working with such a gifted and talented friend on such an incredible project, her long awaited debut album. I'm truly honored and humbled."
Stopping only briefly for Christmas, RyLee will be back on the road touring "LIVE in Nashville" throughout Florida from January 17th through till the end of February 2017. Then RyLee will be back in the studio producing alongside her husband well into the spring.
Dates will be posted late this fall for RyLee's winter tour. Stay tuned!

Live in Nashville - A new acoustic EP for RyLee
Madison, the Nova Scotia artist who calls Nashville her second
home.
Recorded in Madison's back yard in her Tennessee "she-shed" (aka
RyLee's Roost - "The Shack In The Back") Madison's new record
harkens to her love of live acoustic music. Produced with her
husband Clay Krasner in the same neighborhood where fellow
Nova Scotian Hank Snow resided as well as Maybelle Carter, the hope
was to capture a piece of her neighborhood's historic vibe.
Over the period of three spring days with a handful of songs, a collection of talented musicians, eight microphones and a few special guests, Madison and one sound engineer squeezed into her 160-square foot "she-shed". With six of Madison's songs, plus one very special cover song recorded live off the floor, this record gives the listener an experience much like it would be if they were sitting alongside her in her Roost. The result is a recording unlike any of her others.
Neighbor Joe Fick (who plays Elvis's bass player in the movie "Walk The Line") joins her on upright bass, Scott Bernard (lead guitarist for Kenny Loggins), Tenille and Clay Krasner (bass player for Terri Clark) join her on acoustic guitar and fellow Nova Scotian Kris Richards joins in on the gandolin. Madison accompanies herself on all tracks switching between acoustic guitar and gandolin, a first for this seasoned artist. Madison collaborated with fellow Canadian songwriters Tenille, Sydney Mae & Danielle Lowe on this recording as well as Clay and Ron Robinson with the remaining tracks penned solo. A seventh track, "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" is a special addition. Written by A.P Carter, this classic song is one everyone knows and loves. Better still is the fact that RyLee is performing it with her good friend, a third generation Maybelle Carter Family member, Lorrie Carter Bennett. Lorrie is the daughter of country music legend Anita Carter and niece of Johnny Cash & June Carter. Lorrie has many fond memories of visiting with her grandmother Maybelle Carter right across the street from RyLee's Roost, which makes having her on this recording very poignant.
"Her voice is one of my favorite moments on this project. I'm still pinching myself to have sung such a legendary song with a member of the Carter family," says Madison.
Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, Madison began singing at the age of 9, playing the ukulele at 10, the guitar at 14 and followed shortly thereafter with songwriting. Madison has created an extensive catalog of music since her recording debut in 2002. She has released 4 albums, 3 EP's and 11 singles. Madison has written over 1,000 songs resulting in multiple artists of various genres recording her music. Madison produced her 2013 ECMA Country Recording of the Year, Where Does The Time Go, with her husband and has also won five Music Nova Scotia Awards.
Splitting time between Nashville and Nova Scotia, Madison spends her time writing, mentoring and producing other artists alongside her husband under their Nashville-based company 7-17 MUSIC. Madison also frequents her cherished home of Nova Scotia several times a year, submersing herself in the East Coast culture amidst visiting with her friends and family, drawing on the inspiration of her homeland that helps fuel her creativity. "Nashville is my second home. I've created a life here with my husband and friends but Nova Scotia will always be my first home."
RyLee Madison's new EP Live In Nashville will be released September 15, 2015 (her 8th recording) with a PRE-RELEASE party planned in Halifax during Canadian Country Music Week on Thursday, September 10th at 7:30pm. For more information on how you can attend visit: www.ryleemadison.com

RyLee has a brand new
Christmas single available now on iTunes and on Canadian country radio. Co-produced
with her husband Clay alongside her good friend and co-writer Ron
Robinson, the song was inspired by memories of loved ones
lost, thoughts of those serving overseas and close friends or
family who have moved away. Now there is a NEW video for "Wish
You Were Here"! The video features several photographs submitted by
fans, friends and family, holding a picture of a loved one they are
missing this Christmas. Written after losing her best friend
Bruce MacMillan to cancer, home video footage includes Bruce,
co-writer Larry Wayne Clark, RyLee's Dad, Uncle, Grandfather and
Grandmother, all whom have passed over the last four years. Several
friends and family who are missed especially during the
Christmas season are also included. We hope you enjoy! Thank you to
the many who submitted pictures. We couldn't have done this without
you.

Inspiration can hit songwriters at the most unexpected times. That's exactly what happened to RyLee on November 7th.
"It was late on a Friday night and my husband was on the road. With guitar in hand, I was playing around with song ideas when a Remembrance Day post popped up on my Facebook feed. A few minutes later I was following down a rabit hole where I was introduced to the story of Lt. Col. John McCrae, the author of 'In Flanders Fields'. The moment I read his beautiful, yet haunting poem, a melody sat down beside me and followed me into my slumber. Honestly, I've never been so moved by a melody before. It wouldn't leave me alone and by Saturday morning it had awakened me with such a sense of urgency that I needed to record it."
Saturday morning had RyLee's husband Clay charting the song from a work tape she emailed to him. On Sunday 7-17 Music (RyLee & Clay's production company) began the production process and on Monday Zach Casebolt had recorded the strings. Monday afternoon RyLee laid her vocals down at Funhouse studios in Nashville, TN. Monday night Rod Ingle mixed & mastered the song and then well into the wee hours of Tueday morning, just as people began to stir, RyLee uploaded a video tribute complete with her new song on YouTube.
"It felt like I was running a marathon for three days, but it was totally worth it. Veterans deserve to be honored for their service. This is my very small way of paying tribute to the thousands whom have served and are serving."

RyLee has a brand new Christmas single released today on iTunes and to country radio. Co-written with her good friend Ron Robinson, the song was inspired by the thoughts of loved ones who are serving overseas and memories of those who have moved away as well as loved ones lost. "Wish You Were Here" offers a little something everyone can relate to. It is RyLee's hope that this song will bring comfort to many during the Christmas season.
RyLee Madison is more than your typical award-winning songstress
from Nova Scotia, Canada (2013 ECMACountry Recording of the Year).
She's also quite possibly an expert on everything Christmas. In
fact, some would say she has "Claus" genes.
It is rumored that at the age of 11 RyLee brought home her very
first Christmas tree after she had convinced her father that she
was old enough to have her own tree in her bedroom. Purchased from
a local tree lot with her very own Christmas cash, (earned as a
paper delivery girl) she adorned that first tree with handmade
Christmas ornaments, strands of popcorn and a hint of tinsel,
"borrowed" from the tree in the living room. The top was crowned
with a Santa Claus figure she made at the age of 8. RyLee still
puts up that decoration every year and it is likely the Christmas
decoration responsible for starting her collection that now fills
27 large tubs in her attic. Yes, 27 tubs, not to mention 5
Christmas trees, 25 nutcrackers, a Christmas village (all hand
painted), Christmas wall hangings, throw pillows, quilts, garland,
and thousands of mini lights. Her 1,350 square foot TN home and her
120 square foot writing cabin both look like the North Pole. Claus
genes indeed!
Christmas awakened a sense of closeness, happiness and celebration
in RyLee's childhood home and her father certainly knew how to
harness the magic of Christmas. He would spend an entire weekend
going from tree lot to tree lot in search of "the right one". Her
Dad's tree, adorned in sparkling tinsel, colored lights and
ornaments of every color was always the hero of the living
room.
With the recent passing of her father, releasing her Christmas
single "Wish You Were Here" is RyLee's tribute not only to her dad,
but for all who have loved ones serving overseas, have lost a love
one or are simply missing a loved one who is far away.
"Christmas holds a sense of wonder for me that I can't quite
put my finger on. I've always felt a sense of longing during the
Christmas season, almost an ache. I think this year the ache will
be deeper than ever. I hope this song brings comfort" - RyLee
Madison
RyLee will be in Nova Scotia, Canada this Christmas season for several special preformances. Dates TBA. Stay tuned!

It's hard to believe
2014 has moved by so swiftly. The leaves are starting to fall, the
air is beginning to cool and the color of the evening sky is
beginning to deepen. Time since the last post has marked several
milestones for RyLee, the hardest one being the loss of her dad
Gordon Boutilier this past June. A sudden illness with a
departure too soon from this world, RyLee has once again found
herself refocusing the lens of her life and seeking a new sense of
normal.
Music
is never far away, especially at times like these. Alongside her
husband Clay Krasner, RyLee has officially begun the
journey down the road of a record producer. Having
co-produced her 2013
ECMA award-winning album and recent Christmas EP with her husband, working with
other artists seemed to be a natural transition for them both.
Earlier this year they created 7-17 Music and are very pleased with
their very first project with client Melody Lovejoy. Her debut
single "I'm Letting Go" will release to radio in Canada following
the CCMA weekend. The song was co-written by RyLee, Ron Robinson
and fellow Canadian Danielle Lowe. October has RyLee and Clay
scheduled to produce a couple songs with Stephanie Lloyd and begin
a third project in November with another artist. 7-17 Music will
participate as panelists in this year's Round Table event during
the CCMA's this coming weekend and are
also scheduled to attend a few showcases. RyLee and Clay are
looking forward to hearing some new talent and catching up with
many friends throughout the weekend.
Following the CCMA's
in Edmonton, RyLee will return to Nova Scotia to co-write and she
is especially excited to be attending Ian Sherwood's CD release
concert. RyLee is honored to have a cut on Ian's latest album,
"Everywhere To Go" and just might be making an appearance on stage
that night. Ian's release concert is scheduled for
September 13th in Halifax at the Company House. Showtime
is 8:30 pm. This is a concert you don't want to miss!
The weather has been unusual this year for everyone with Nashville being no exception. Finally, the warm weather is arriving along with spring flowers returning to claim their residency in gardens throughout Tennessee. Spring brings with it fresh beginnings and new life, something that has been plentiful for RyLee already this year.
Having already penned a collection of new songs this year, RyLee has also been mentoring and producing. With the 2013 ECMA Country Recording Of The Year win for her album Where Does The Time Go (co-produced with her husband Clay Krasner), this husband and wife duo are filled with anticipation for what will be a great year of producing other projects.
A few of the co-writers this year include talented Canadian artists Tenille and Lisa Nicole. RyLee also spent last week mentoring a group of talented artists brought to Nashville by Global Country from Edmonton, AB. She looks forward to co-writing with a few of them in the coming months.
This year will find RyLee spending a great deal of time in Nova Scotia in preparation of her next project. She is very excited about having recently added manager S. Alizé Barth of Meganova Music to her team.
Singer-songwriters, RyLee Madison, Linda Brooks and Dave Carroll will perform an evening of Christmas music at The Carleton in Halifax, Sunday, Dec. 22 at 8 p.m.
As a six-time award-winning artist and songwriter, Madison's life overflows with fascinating stories that surface throughout her songs. Since her national debut release in 2002, her recording career has included four albums with ten national country radio singles in Canada. Her music has taken her to Ireland, France, across Canada and throughout the US. Madison's brand new limited edition Christmas EP, Christmas Christmas is sure to delight the young and old.

Brooks' new Christmas EP, Give Yourself A Little Christmas, co-produced by Brooks and Nashville musician/producer, Chris Leuzinger has Brooks putting her own unique spin on four traditional songs, "O Holy Night", "Silent Night", "Do You Hear What I Hear", and a moving rendition of "Auld Lang Syne" as well as two of her own originals. Featuring beautiful vocal performances, the EP is an excellent representation of Brooks' range as an artist while spotlighting her sophistication and charisma as a performer on stage and in the studio.

Known as a master storyteller, Carroll's incredible talent was introduced to millions when his 2009 anthem 'United Breaks Guitars' became a worldwide sensation. His ability to extract the essence of a message and craft it into song is a rare gift that is attracting fans of all ages, while his sense of humour and disarmingly warm stage presence makes each live experience a memorable one for audiences around the world.

Christmas is in the air leaving us wondering how it came up so quickly once again. Of course, it happens every year but once it arrives, it invariably feels like it snuck up.
It's been a wonderful year for RyLee beginning with her 2013 ECMA Country Recording Of The Year win for her album "Where Does The Time Go". Other highlghts include having played the Cavendish Country Music Festival, spending time at Melmerby Beach, NS, skydiving, having a summer single with Canadian country sensation Tenille and, most recently, time spent in the studio recording her new EP titled Christmas Christmas.
RyLee's new Christmas Christmas EP is a three-song collection (two originals and one traditional) that we feel has truly captured the spirit of Christmas. Songs referencing the Griswald's (from the movie Christmas Vacation), the Grinch, the manger, as well as a heartwarming reminder of Christmases past, are just a preview to her FULL Christmas album planned for release in 2014. RyLee is especially excited to be making her debut playing acoustic guitar on this EP and her husband Clay also makes his studio debut as a background singer on this recording in addition to playing bass.
The best part? This EP is FREE with the purchase of any other RyLee Madison CD. Better still, if you already have all of RyLee's CD's you can pick one up for a friend and recieve this Christmas Christmas EP FREE. You will want to hurry though as only a small number of EP's have been pressed and once they are gone they will never be available again!
If it's just the EP you'd like you can certainly order only that, however, you'll get better value for your dollar by bundling it with another CD. NOTE: theses songs will NOT be avaialble on iTunes! EP's will only be available for mail order until December 10th, 2013.
RyLee will be performing with her husband Clay throughout Nova Scotia over the Chritmas Season. If you will be attending a show and wish to grab a copy of her Christmas Christmas EP you may want to send a "hold" request ahead of time to secure your copy. A complete list of RyLee's shows can be viewed here.
Enjoy a sneak peak by listening to RyLee's new Christmas Christmas EP.
Merry Christmas!
NEW SINGLE AT RADIO
RyLee is very excited and proud of her fellow artist/cowriter
Tenille who recently released a song they wrote, together with Ron
Robinson, titled "Halfway to Somewhere". The song is all about
enjoying the ride of life and being present where you are instead
of worrying about what's next. It's about finding joy in the
journey and realizing that the best part can be the process and the
exciting possibility of an unknown destination. Hear the song and

"Tenille is not just another artist, she is a movement! A
talented young gal who gets that making music is one thing but

MEGANOVA COUNTRY MUSIC
This summer RyLee joined the Meganova Country Music Family, an
organization created to support East Coast Country music
artists. The concept of Meganova Country was developed through
conversations among friends with a shared passion for
music. Soon casual conversations turned into planned meetings
as it became clear they wanted to support new, emerging and
established artists. It seemed natural to create a platform that
would give artists the opportunity to showcase their work. The
Meganova team has been rooted in a culture of creativity
and dedication from a very young age. Meganova Country is the
result of each member's experience, knowledge of the industry,
business acumen, passion and creativity. Meganova Country is
excited to create an environment showcasing the many talented
artists, from Eastern Canada to the Southeastern US, who contribute
daily to the enrichment of our lives, perpetuating what country
music is all about. To learn more about Meganova be sure to check
out their brand new website. Stay tuned for more to

CAVENDISH BEACH MUSIC FESTIVAL
What better way to spend a hot summer weekend than on Prince
Edward Island at theCavendish Beach Music Festival! Especially
sweet was being able to play music with her husband Clay Krasner

able to share the band with Michelle Wright was a generous treat.
Thanks, Michelle! RyLee expects to be returning to the festival
stage next year. Stay tuned!
JOINING A MEMBER OF THE CARTER FAMILY ONSTAGE
AGAIN!
RyLee once again had the honor of sharing the stage and singing
with a member of the legendary Carter Family, Lorrie Carter Bennett

Unbroken", "I Still Miss Someone", "Ring of Fire" & "Wildwood
Flower". A repeat performance is already planned for 2014.

the shoot. What a thrill! Picture says it all. Whats on your bucket

as a 2012 ISC semi-finalist!
"With a record setting number of entries received (over
20,000), ISC 2012 was the most competitive year we've seen yet. If
you've made the list of semi-finalists... congratulations! However,
if you didn't make the cut this year, don't lose hope; with so many
great entries received, narrowing it down to semi-finalists was
truly a challenge." -

Great critical reviews have come in for Where Does The Time Go and we are very excited to share a couple of these with you. It was several months ago that we shared a glowing review with you from Music News Nashville. If you happened to miss it, here is the link so you can check it out:
http://www.musicnewsnashville.com
And here is a little excerpt from a sensational review by Music Maker magazine in the UK:
"Well, the name screams country but in this instance we're north of the border and RyLee Madison is one of the Canada's rising stars. Ten accomplished, accessible easy-on-the-ear songs, with a reprised duet, signal the reason. The voice is genre specific but the music rocks in at the contemporary end of the spectrum, devoid of any cloying sentimentality and with occasional room for other devices and desires..."

"It's been five years between albums, and Madison bursts
forth like some snowbound pony come spring."
- Janet Goodman, Music News Nashville
Spring has sprung with a huge leap for RyLee Madison. Her latest
album, Where Does The Time Go recently recieved a
fantastic review from Music News Nashville by Janet Goodman and
there are great expectations for more favorable reviews to come!
Janet Goodman - songwriter and journalist has been immersed in the
country music scene since the late 90′s. As a regular contributor
to Music News Nashville and The 9513, she has reviewed hundreds of
recordings and has interviewed industry movers and shakers, such as
Simon Cowell, Bob DiPiero, Raul Malo, Lori McKenna and Eddie
Montgomery to name a few.
"With her fourth album release, "Where Does the Time Go," Madison shows her mad singing chops to America, as well as her contemporary country songwriting skills. She knows how to deliver her songs in a clear, committed voice; her lower range and energy are so reminiscent of early Jo Dee Messina."
Be sure to read Janets full review!

Happy 2012! I cannot believe we are almost a month into the new year already! At the risk of sounding corny, where DOES the time go? I find as the years march on that time moves faster and faster, which often has me asking that very question. I guess that's why I wrote a song about it and chose that for my album title.
2011 was filled with an amazing journey of hope and anticipation for great things to happen. That something finally did happen with with the release of my latest CD as well as a couple singles to Canadian radio.
But the most incredible blessing to me was the extended time I got to spend with my best friend Bruce MacMillan. I've known Bruce for 17 years and watched him, and his amazing faith, live with cancer over the past four years. As his health quickly deteriorated this past year, I was blessed with the time in my schedule to tend to his needs. We laughed, cried and prayed together and, though neither of us wanted him to lose his battle to cancer, I was truly blessed to be with him during his final hours. Though it was sad and hard to say goodbye, the highlight of 2011 was the blessing of being with Bruce as he breathed his last breath on November 2, crossing the finish line of his life here on earth while holding his hand. Bruce was an incredible friend, son, uncle, brother and neighbor. We all miss him greatly.
The year was finished with a celebration of life. And what greater place to celebrate life and joy than at Disney World in Orlando, FL! Though it was hard to wrap my head around it being Christmas Eve in 80 degree temperatures, Clay and I had a great time in the Magic Kingdom & EPCOT on Christmas Eve and then Hollywood Studios on Christmas Day. After a year of Clay being on the road with Terri Clark and Ty Herndon and myself spending six months with Bruce, Disney was the perfect solution to some much needed 'happy together' time.
2012 has us very excited about new possibilities. Forging ahead with the record Clay and I produced together, we are bubbling with anticipation to see what will come of some exciting European interest the new CD has brought! We are assembling a series of house concert tours and songwriter rounds that will include areas like Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, Indiana, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky and many parts of Canada. Clay and I will be performing together on these shows with Clay playing a supporting role on guitar and background vocals.
You don't need to live in the White House for a house concert to work. And honestly, it doesn't matter what color your house is. If you can fit 20-30 people into your living room, rec room, back deck, then your place is perfect. For anyone interested, you can learn more about house concerts and apperances on the SHOWS page.
This year we will also continue to host guests here in Tennessee at the Madison Writing Room while working on building a home studio, touring, writing and continuing to make music as often as possible.
Thanks for your ongoing support! I wish everyone the best in 2012.

RyLee Madison is back at radio! It's been almost five years
since stepping out of the limelight. After getting married and
moving to Nashville, Nova Scotia's RyLee Madison returns to radio
with a new album Where Does The Time Go. Her first single, "I Wish",
(a co-write with Steve Fox) lists all the things we WISH we had
done and should do….infectious with a sing-along chorus and an
unexpected ending. Co-produced in Nashville with Clay Krasner (touring
musician with Terri Clark
& Ty Herndon) along with several stellar session players, this
solid production holds up alongside the top country albums
today.
"RyLee Madison has the type of authentic vocal conviction and
writing chops we need in the Canadian country music industry"
Terri Clark, Nashville, TN
"RyLee is as real as it gets, with a big league delivery that
deserves to perform in front of thousands every night! I LOVE

Last year RyLee decided to distract the fact that she wouldn't be traveling home to Nova Scotia for Christmas by creating a daily Countdown to Christmas video blog with her husband and dog at her home in Tennessee. The countdown was met with such a welcoming response that she decided to do it again for 2010!
This year's video blog will feature many of the attractions you can find during the Christmas Season in Nashville, TN, including the Opryland Hotel, ICE, Christmas parties, special guests and more. The very first one for 2010 has been posted and can be viewed now on RyLee ReeLs. If there is a location you would like to see RyLee include in her Countdown to Christmas 2010, please email your suggestions to rylee@ryleemadison.com.
In the meantime be sure to tune in to www.seasidefm.com Saturday mornings @ 6:30am Atlantic time to hear RyLee's radio show BEHIND THE SONG CAFE as well as www.country933.com on Wednesday mornings @ 6:40am Mountain time for RYLEE ON THE ROW with Ben McCully.

Recently a radio station from her home province of Nova Scotia
approached her about running of test pilot of her show to which she
agreed.

"I'll take a trip to my favorite spot,
Photograph the three churches and browse all the shops
I'll pick up a painting by Andre Haines
I could have never imagined the pleasure it brings coming….
Home, where the smiles are free,
Home back to my family
To the salt in the air and the smell of the sea
This is what coming back home means to me"
RyLee never could have imagined that one of her songs would become
the inspiration for an incredible painting but that's exactly what
has happened with her song "Salt In The Air".
"Salt In The Air" is my tribute to my homeland of Nova Scotia
which includes many of my favorite things about home"
RyLee Madison
One of those things mentioned includes Andre Haines, a painter
from Martins River, Nova Scotia. "I discovered Andre and his work
while shopping for antiques (his gallery at the time also consisted
of an antique shop). From the moment I saw his paintings I fell in
love. Hence, the reason for mentioning him in the song".
This past summer RyLee made the journey to Martins River, NS to
deliver a copy of her song personally to Andre. It was during this
visit when the idea for a painting was born.
Since that special visit an incredible painting titled "Salt In
The Air"has been created by Andre. The painting is scheduled to
appear in a book being written about Andre and his beautiful art as
well as inside the packaging of RyLee's upcoming full length album
to be released later this year. Numbered and signed prints of the
painting are planned and will be made available soon on RyLee's
website as well as at Andre Haines Studio
Gallery.
A video blog has been created to track the progress of this
genuine and very exciting story. Be sure to view PART ONE in the
series by visiting SALT IN THE AIR -
